Appointments
Our Standard appointments are 15 minutes long. This compares with 5-10 minutes at many vets. We hope this will give clients time to ask questions, and feel comfortable with treatment options offered.
Home Visits
Home Visits are undertaken at the discretion of the vet. We will however always try to comply with owners requests. Where the patient seems unwell it is always preferable to see him/her in the clinic in case tests are appropriate. Please ask if you have transport difficulties, and we will try and help. Due to the requirement for a nurse to accompany the vet, and the fact that the vet will have pre-booked consultations/operations in the Clinic, we ask that owners be flexible wherever possible over timings for home visits.
Vaccinations
We recommend annual vaccinations for Cat Flu and Enteritis. We advise that all kittens should receive vaccinations for Flu/Enteritis and Leukaemia and have a booster at 1 year old. Please see our Advice page.
Kitten Clinics
We currently offer free Kitten checks with our experienced qualified nurses. This includes a basic examination and advice on such issues as fleas/worming and diet. A vet is on hand if any health problems are identified.
Senior Cat Clinics
We have introduced Senior Cat Health Screening for cats over 10 years of age. The aim of the clinic is to pick up common older age health issues at an early stage to allow for prompt intervention to halt or slow progression. Particularly we would be looking for signs of Hyperthyroidism, Diabetes, Kidney Failure and High Blood Pressure.
The health screen would include the following:
Total Cost of the Screen would be £80.
